Driver’s License: European or UK licenses valid for at least 1 year. Driver’s licenses from all other countries must be accompanied by an International Driving Permit (IDP). Physical driving license only. We cannot accept a digital driver’s license
Driver Age limits: drivers aged 23-24 for A, A1, and B car groups only. Drivers 25 – 74 y/o for all car groups. Minivan & jeep, F & E car groups 27 – 74 y/o
Under age limits: drivers 21 – 22 y/o for car groups A, A1, B, and 23 – 24y/o for all groups. You can add these insurance options from our Available Extras during the booking process.
Over Age limits: drivers 75 to 80 y/o, with an excess liability of €790. You can add this insurance from our Available Extras during the booking process.
Rental insurance: Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft Protection with excess liability – Personal Accident Insurance up to 1.000.000 euros – Third-party liability for death, injury, and material damages up to 1.000.000 euros.
Insurance with Excess (CDW), Collision Damage Waiver, is included in the rental price. It carries an excess of €590 for car groups A, A1, and B, €690 for car groups C-C1, and €890 for all other groups, payable by the renter, to cover any damage to the car during the rental, and the car may be out of service for days. A deposit of the excess amount is required with CDW protection.
Insurance for ZERO Excess Liability (Super CDW)
Super Collision Damage Waiver is additional insurance that reduces the excess liability to ZERO, covers wheels, tires, glasses, mirrors, and minimizes the security deposit to €150 – €250, depending on the car type. Valid if traffic laws are followed, and a police report is provided. You can add this insurance from our Available Extras through the booking procedure. Available for drivers 27 -70 y/o, or 25 to 75 y/o with an additional cost. Not available for the car group E Suzuki Jimny. Insurance and road assistance are valid only for Kefalonia. No deposit on a credit card is required with SCDW
EXCEPTIONS TO ALL INSURANCE PROTECTION. Insurance does NOT cover in any case damages or accidents by: Unauthorized drivers, or those under the influence of alcohol/drugs. Driving on non-asphalt roads, violating European traffic laws, or violating the rental terms. Damage from reversing into stationary objects (reckless driving), the car’s underside, loss or damage to the car key, the interior, & personal belongings. A valid credit card is required. An administration fee of €75 applies to any accident or incident.
Additional Drivers: For the first or the second additional driver, there is a daily charge of € 4,95 per driver. All drivers must accept the same terms & conditions as the main driver.
Get a car out of office hours: on request with €35 per way between 21:00 – 23:00 hours, and €50 per way between 23:00 – 08:45. Office Hours (09:00 – 21:00)
Gasoline: same to same. No refunds are given for excess fuel left in the vehicle or early return.
Baby and Booster seats are available to book through the booking procedure, and they cost €4.95 per day. It is the customer’s responsibility to properly attach baby seats.
Luggage Racks, GPS & Snow Chains: Not provided
Traffic Violations – Fines: Traffic fines are the renters’ responsibility and will be charged to their credit card.
Cancellation policy: We refund the deposit by canceling your booking 2 weeks before your pick-up. A fee of 15 euros applies to cover bank expenses (commission).
Rental Car Brands & Models: Bookings are made by car group and not by model, the company can provide a higher group than the booked one at the same price. Baggage placement is the customer’s responsibility. The company cannot be held liable for damage to baggage or if they don’t fit in the car.
Booking cancellation: The company reserves the right to cancel the online booking up to 24 hours after the deposit is paid and refund all the money, if there is a problem with the availability. With the reservation, the renter states that read and accept the above terms.
Rental Security deposit: Maestro cards are not accepted. The renter must be a credit card holder to cover the excess amount to proceed with the car rental. If you don’t have a credit card, you can still rent with us by leaving the security deposit in cash at the car collection, and only for the car groups of A, A1, B, C, and C1. A cleaning fee of €100 applies for extreme dirtiness, smoking in the car, and wet seats.
Release the security deposit. The preauthorization deposit on the credit card will be released after 2 weeks and on the debit card after 4-6 weeks, depending on the customer’s debit card bank.
CBR reserves the right to decline service to any customer whose behavior is deemed inappropriate or disrespectful. The company reserves the right to amend the rates or terms and conditions at any time.
Promotional offers, discounts, and coupons cannot be combined. Only one offer may be applied per rental transaction.
